Champions League tips …

The Champions League is back ! So are the bookmakers … We gonna stay close to the competition with a lot of free tips , starting today with :

Real Madrid against Werder Bremen

Real won all 3 games in Primera so far and they are firmly on the first place. With a new coach Schuster and several very good reinforcements like Sneijder who is truly in great form, Real is decided to start this season`s champions league with a win.

Werder on the other side is struggling in domestic league where they are holding a shy 2-1-2 record, as well as in Europe as they barely came through the 3rd round of CL qualifications against Dinamo from Zagreb. Coach is facing injury crisis ever since the season has started and the loss of their best striker Klose surely contributed to their bad results.

Werder Bremen has a long injury list like Torsten Frings, Tim Borowski, Clemens Fritz, Pierre Womé, Ivan Klasnic and Aaron Hunt are all sidelined . Brasilian Diego is the man to watch, but he played badly in the last game against Dortmund and was consequently substituted at halftime.

It s possible to see a lot of goals , hopefully coming from Madrid s squad … So , today s free tip is :

Play Real Madrid -1,25 @ 1,90 at 10 BET

For those who wanna try a little combo (out of records) , for todays Champion Leagues games , our suggestion goes to : Real Madrid + Shaktar Donetsk @ 2,56 played at TOTESPORT confidence 6/10 .

Collin McRae tribute

Posted on September 19th, 2007 in news & reviews by admin

Between the lines .. tips , bookmakers , a sad news was everywhere this week … The great WRC champion Collin McRae died in a helicopter crash …Colin McRae was described as one of the most “exciting and spectacular drivers the world has ever seen” as the motorsport community struggled to come to terms with his death on Saturday after his helicopter crashed close to his Lanarkshire home.
Tributes poured in for the former world rally champion, who also became a household name worldwide through the PlayStation game Colin McRae Rally.
Collin McRae became the first Briton to win the world rally championship in 1995 with Subaru, but had not held a full-time WRC drive since the end of the 2003 season when he parted company with Citroën. He subsequently undertook a number of one-off guest drives, most recently in last year’s Rally of Turkey, where he filled in for the injured Citroën driver Sébastien Loeb.

McRae helped Subaru win successive constructors’ titles in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and Richards, who was team principal at the time, added: “He was just so competitive and so extreme in everything he did, yet also great fun. He matured over the years to be a great pal. There was never a moment when he didn’t try 100% and it’s ironic that he walked away unscathed from so many rally accidents only for this to happen.”

Awarded the MBE by the Queen, McRae also tried his hand at truck racing in the Dakar Rally and competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours race. He also won the Race of Champions, an event in which the world’s top car racers compete over a specially built course in rally cars inside football stadiums. He had been due to partner the formula one driver David Coulthard in Team Scotland in the 2007 event and both were recently in London for its launch.

“He was fearless, flamboyant and blindingly quick in the car,” said Coulthard. “We had some great times and his passing is a terrible blow for the McRae family and everyone who came into contact with him. He was very down-to-earth, matter-of-fact that he was so good. He had all the good Scottish traits. I competed in the Race of Champions with him because of my respect for him - I remember him urging me on, telling me to get the finger out for Scotland.”

Another leading figure in Scottish motorsport, Sir Jackie Stewart, said: “It’s a sad loss for Scotland, of a real hero and an immensely popular friend.”
That popularity extended to the two-wheel code. After winning the MotoGP in Portugal yesterday an emotional Valentino Rossi, seven times the world champion, said: “I need to remember Colin McRae. I dedicate to him this victory because he is one of my idols.”
Close friends maintain that there was no correlation between the way that McRae flew a helicopter and the way he drove a rally car, ruling out pilot error as the cause of the accident. One friend said: “I have flown with many professional helicopter pilots, and Colin would have put them to shame. His attention to detail as a pilot was second to none.”

Collin s great numbers .. just a part of them :
British champion 1991-1992
World champion 1995; runner-up 1996, 2001; finished third in 1998
World Rally Championship rallies 146
Wins 25
Podium finishes 42 Stage wins 477
World Rally Championship points 626

R.I.P

game on !

Posted on September 19th, 2007 in sportsbetting free tips by admin

Many interesting games tonight on the Champions League again .

As a double selection we recommend you to play Rome and Barcelona to win @2,20 at TOTESPORT .These teams are made for winning tonight s games . Confidence 5/10 .
Our main prediction though will go for another game on a pretty good price .

Slavia Praga against Steaua Bucuresti

The two teams are the underdogs in the group (after the bookmakers ) and this match and the one at Bucharest will be crucial for who will win 3rd place for a chance to play further in the UEFA Cup.
Slavia , impressed everyone when they managed to win against Ajax. That victory means a lot to the players and their morale.Plus it is good to know that in the Czech League , Slavia has been doing quite well : first position with 6 games, 5 win and 1 draw . They started the season powerfull and they collected a lot of wins at this moment. Slavia entered on Champions League Group Stage defeeting Ajax by 0-1 and 2-1 … a game to remember.

Steaua is passing through difficult times. The club’s owner is taking a lot of pressure against coach Hagi. For the second time, he “commands” him what players to sit and what players to use. In a press conference, he said that if Hagi uses Zaharia from the first minute ever again, he is out. Pretty much the same thing about polish Golanski and Rada.

Steaua is doing a misserable start on the championship. In 6 games, they collected 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 loses. They are in 7th place with less 6 points for the 1st position CFR Cluj’s team. Steaua also scored only 4 goals in 6 matches. Tavares, Janda and Krajcik should start for Slavia . Plus, there are some speculations, that central defender Martin Latka, who recovered from long lasting injury, should be included in starting eleven together with Brabec . Stadium is almost sold out and no important missing for Slavia. Slavia could take here 3 points easly playing good football and winning this match.

So today our free tip is : Play Slavia Praga to win @2,20 at TOTESPORT

Good luck !

Mourinho left …

Posted on September 20th, 2007 in news & reviews by admin

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has left the English Premier League club “by mutual consent”, the club announced on Thursday.

J M
“Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have agreed to part company today (Thursday) by mutual consent,” said a one-line statement posted on the club’s website.
Mourinho’s departure will send shock-waves through English football.
The Portuguese manager has transformed the nation’s football landscape since taking over at Stamford Bridge in June 2004, winning two Premier League titles in his first two years in charge, the FA Cup last season and the 2005 and 2007 League Cups.

But his relationship with Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich has always been fraught and it has now been confirmed that a disappointing 1-1 Champions League draw with Norwegian side Rosenberg on Tuesday was his last in charge.

So , after the first games of the League we made some damage to the bookmakers

The Romanian League

Posted on September 23rd, 2007 in sportsbetting free tips by admin

The free tip for the weekend comes from the romanian soccer league . You won t find this price at many bookmakers , so hurry up !

FC Vaslui against Univ Craiova

The visitors traveled to Vaslui in an attempt to gain some points after their disastrous recent results. This will remain probably just an attempt because Craiova doesn’t have the power to fight with such a team as FC Vaslui. They are on 3rd spot and they will remain on the first places of the championship after this stage because they are very motivated to win this game.

Last round there was a quarrel between Vaslui’s owner and Poli Timisoara’s owner regarding the game that FC Vaslui played at Timisoara in with Poli’s owner said that Vaslui is playing tennis not football and they’ve could never win at Timisoara.

That’s why I think the players from FC Vaslui will try to prove the contrary at this game. Also Universitatea comes at this game with no coach so I think they will probably be more confused than they were until now. So the logical choice is a home win here.

So , today s free tip is :

Play FC Vaslui -1 @2,05 only at Pinnacle

*the game is set to be play today at h16,00 CET

Good luck and see you soon with more free tips !

The Italian League

Posted on September 24th, 2007 in news & reviews by admin

Serie AA very interesting week in Serie A , with a lot of action . Here s a small review of what happened and what will be from a reliable source ( ESPN ).   AS Roma visit Fiorentina on Wednesday for the second of four matches in 10 days that will show the Serie A leaders how credible their domestic and European ambitions are.

The trip to Tuscany comes before Saturday’s home game against champions Inter Milan and next week’s visit to English title-holders Manchester United in the Champions League.

Roma, last season’s runners up, lost their 100 percent record in the first of the four big tests on Sunday when Vincenzo Iaquinta’s late header earned Juventus a 2-2 draw.

Nevertheless, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti said he was proud of another convincing performance and will take heart from the form of captain Francesco Totti, who struck twice on Sunday and has scored five times in the last four games.

Fiorentina are in fine fettle too after beating Catania 1-0 on Sunday thanks to Adrian Mutu’s third league goal of the season.

The home side have eight points from four games, two points fewer than Roma, who they will leapfrog in the standings if they win.

Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo said his team mates are relishing the challenge.

‘We have been waiting for this match against Roma for a long time,’ Montolivo told Fiorentina’s website. ‘It will be beautiful to play against them’.

Inter, who also have eight points, will be looking to put a bad week behind them against Sampdoria at the San Siro.

The champions were held 2-2 by basement club Livorno on Sunday and lost their Champions League opener 1-0 to Fenerbahce in Istanbul last Wednesday.

Inter coach Roberto Mancini will be without Brazilian defender Maicon, who was sent off at Livorno.

Cristian Chivu and Marco Materazzi also miss out through long-term injuries and Patrick Vieira is doubtful because of a hamstring problem.

Atalanta, another team on eight points and in striking distance of the top spot after their 2-1 home win over Lazio, visit Siena.

Juventus, sixth with seven points, host Reggina without suspended French defender Jonathan Zebina and Portuguese centre back Jorge Andrade, who is likely to miss the rest of the season after snapping a knee tendon at Roma.

European champions AC Milan, ninth with six pointAS Roma visit Fiorentina on Wednesday for the second of four matches in 10 days that will show the Serie A leaders how credible their domestic and European ambitions are.

NBA Eastern Conf 2007

Posted on September 27th, 2007 in news & reviews by admin

The season is coming and we have a lot of changes this year . We ll have a look today about what happened in the Eastern Conference in every team . As a reminder the pre season starts on oct 6th , and the regular season on oct 30th. Are you ready ???
ATLANTA HAWKS

Star guard Joe Johnson has recovered from a calf injury that held him to just 57 games last season … How will coach Mike Woodson find enough minutes for SF/PFs Josh Smith and Marvin Williams, as well as Al Horford, sophomore Shelden Williams, Zaza Pachulia and Lorenzen Wright?
JJ  Have the point guard-starved Hawks finally found the long-term answer in 11th overall selection Acie Law? The Hawks, who passed on star point men Deron Williams and Chris Paul in 2005 in favour of yet another swingman (Marvin Williams), sure hope so.

BOSTON CELTICS
The Celtics are energized and hungry thanks to the blockbuster trades that brought Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to town … Two-thirds of the roster was shipped away to acquire them … The thin Celtics will expect a lot from veteran James Posey, who won a championship with Miami in 2006, as well as gunner Eddie House.
How long will it take the superstar triumvirate to jell? All three are far more willing to pass the ball than most superstars, but don’t expect magic right off the bat. The trio is used to playing with far lesser talent and will have to adapt to not having to carry a team solo.

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The arrival of star guard Jason Richardson has this 33-win team thinking the playoffs could be in reach … Sophomore Adam Morrison has a lot to prove after co-owner Michael Jordan chose him third overall in 2006. Morrison was a major disappointment in his rookie year, shooting just 38% from the floor.

Can these guys stay healthy? Former rookie of the year Emeka Okafor has missed 81 games over the past two years. Gerald Wallace has missed 37. Centre Primoz Brezec sat out 24 last season, while power forward Sean May has managed to play in only 58 games in his first two NBA seasons. Richardson missed 31 games in 2006-07.

CHICAGO BULLS

Rookie Joakim Noah (shoulder) missed summer league but should be ready to go when camp opens … Rising star Luol Deng (18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds a year ago) had an outstanding summer, leading Great Britain to a 6-0 record and a promotion to the A division of next year’s European Championships.

Are the Baby Bulls ready to grow up? Their best player, Deng, is only 22. Point guard Kirk Hinrich is 26. Ben Gordon is 24, Noah is 22 and potential standout Tyrus Thomas, is just 21. The young core should be scary good in a few seasons, but big things are expected right away.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

Management of the surprise NBA finalists risks poisoning the locker room by low-balling restricted free agents Anderson Varejao and Sasha Pavlovic who remain unsigned … Summer rumours had team mulling shipping out Drew Gooden for Sacramento point guard Mike Bibby in order to make room for Varejao in the starting lineup.

When will LeBron James get his supporting cast? The Cavs need to upgrade LeBron’s aging sidekicks, but have tied up far too much money in the oft-injured Larry Hughes (over $38 million US owed over next three seasons), plus the declining Zydrunas Ilgauskas ($32 million/3).

DETROIT PISTONS

Young big men Amir Johnson, who signed a three-year $12-million deal after tearing up the D-League to the tune of 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.1 blocks, and Jason Maxiell will be asked to pick up the slack with the departure of Chris Webber. The starting centre spot is up for grabs.
Have they had their day? The Pistons have been to the Eastern Conference final each of the past five seasons, winning the 2005 NBA title, but their starting lineup is now the league’s oldest, averaging 31 years.

INDIANA PACERS

Jim O’Brien takes over for taskmaster Rick Carlisle as the Pacers look to rebound from a disastrous 35-47 campaign that saw the team miss the playoffs for the first time in a decade … Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy and Ike Diogu, acquired from Golden State halfway through last season, get their first training camp with the Pacers.

Will Jermaine O’Neal be a Pacer at season’s end? Ever since Ron Artest’s outburst in Detroit almost three years ago turned the Pacers from contenders to pretenders, franchise player O’Neal has waffled between committing to the team and asking to be shipped elsewhere. O’Neal was heavily pursued by the Lakers, Nets and Knicks this off-season.

MIAMI HEAT

It’s a good-news/bad-news situation for the league’s most high profile pairing. Shaquille O’Neal has worked himself into excellent shape after posting career lows across the board last season, but Dwyane Wade, who put up mostly career highs, is still recovering from May shoulder surgery and is expected to miss the first month of the season … The Heat did little to beef up aging and declining supporting cast.

How many games will the dynamic duo play together? O’Neal and Wade missed 42 and 31 games respectively last season as the defending NBA champions stumbled to a 44-38 record and a first-round exit. Shaq is in shape, but at 36 and well over 300 pounds, it’s unlikely he’ll suit up for all 82 games.

MILWAUKEE BUCKS

Owner and U.S. Senator Herb Kohl had to use all of his political wiles in order to convince sixth overall selection Yi Jianlian to sign with Milwaukee. Yi only ended his lengthy holdout once Kohl guaranteed he would get significant playing time … The team can only get better under Larry Krystkowiak who took over for overmatched Terry Stotts.

Can these guys play even passable defence? It’s obvious they can score. Michael Redd ranked sixth in the league with a 26.7 scoring average, Mo Williams averaged 17.3, Charlie Villanueva can fill it up in a variety of ways, but only Williams is an average defender out of that trio. Jianlian is also a finesse player who duplicates a lot of what Villanueva provides.

NEW JERSEY NETS

Dug deep to find the $61.8 million necessary to bring back Vince Carter. Will he play hard or regress like he did soon after signing his first mega-contract with the Raptors? … Upgraded front court with return of Nenad Kristic (averaged 16.4 ppg and 6.8 rpg before tearing anterior cruciate ligament 26 games into the season), and addition of former all-star Jamaal Magloire and shot-blocking rookie Sean Williams.

Will Jason Kidd’s body hold up for another season? The Nets will go only as far as Kidd takes them. While the team has talent, they likely would be in the lottery without their floor general. Kidd was remarkable in the playoffs, averaging a triple-double (14.6 points, 10.9 assists and rebounds per-game), but is now 34-years-old and playing on a surgically repaired knee.

NEW YORK KNICKS

Team president and coach Isiah Thomas will have to avoid being distracted by his court case because he has a lot on his plate with this team. Stephon Marbury spent the off-season putting his foot in his mouth about dog fighting among other things, but should have been working on his declining game. Marbury scored only 16.4 points last season, his lowest since his rookie year and put up career- low assist numbers.

Can Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph co-exist? While teams like the Raptors and Warriors try to emulate Phoenix’s frenetic style, Thomas has decided to build a team that does the exact opposite. There’s no question Randolph and Curry will do damage on the offensive end, but they are not quick enough to stop athletic big men and may get into foul trouble long before they can assert themselves offensively.

ORLANDO MAGIC

Well-regarded coach Stan Van Gundy gets another gig in Florida after being shafted by the Heat. Van Gundy will get the most out of a team that has little depth and major holes at shooting guard and up front. Dwight Howard still has a huge upside, but the Magic will need him to play like Kevin Garnett if it is to make the playoffs.

Can Rashard Lewis possibly live up to his contract? The Magic gave Lewis a staggering six-year contract that pays him an average of $19.6 million, or about twice what he probably deserves. Lewis is certainly not a top-10 player, but yet he’ll be paid like one, earning more than the likes of Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady and Dirk Nowitzki. The Magic also had to part ways with free agents Darko Milicic and Grant Hill.

PHILADELPHIA 76ERS

Bland Sixers go into season for first time in almost a decade without headline-generating Allen Iverson … Coach Maurice Cheeks and general manager Billy King are in final year of contracts, so pressure is on to win, despite weak roster … Samuel Dalembert suited up for Canada in Las Vegas with a stress fracture in his left foot but expects to be ready to go when camp opens.

Are they destined for no man’s land again? The Sixers did themselves no favours last season by finishing the season on a 30-29 run after starting 5-18. A team that should have been in contention for potential championship building blocks Greg Oden or Kevin Durant, instead found itself selecting 12th. Sixers once again have too many solid veterans to be truly abysmal.

TORONTO RAPTORS

Much to the chagrin of reigning coach of the year Sam Mitchell, camp begins in Treviso, Italy, and moves on to Rome where Andrea Bargnani will get a chance to play in front of family and friends … Bargnani should supplant Rasho Nesterovic in the starting lineup, despite the Slovenian big man’s strong play at the recent Eurobasket tournament … Off-season acquisitions Jason Kapono and Carlos Delfino will battle it out for starting small forward assignment.

Can they defend the Atlantic? Toronto caught the league off-guard last season, but nobody will be looking past them this season. The Raptors are not used to being the hunted, but will have to get used to it. The Atlantic Division has improved greatly, so the Raptors will have to utilize their superior depth to neutralize the star-powered Celtics and Nets.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS

Stole USC’s Nick Young with the 15th pick of the draft … Stars Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison will be playing for expensive new contracts … Centres Brendan Haywood and Etan Thomas take fighting for a spot to a new extreme by constantly brawling with each other.

Can they keep everyone healthy? Arenas and Caron Butler were having career years before suffering season-ending injuries last April. Antawn Jamison also missed 12 games because of injury. Arenas was a legitimate MVP candidate and had earlier led the Wizards to the East’s best record just before the all-star break, while Butler made his first all-star appearance.

We ll continue with the Western Conf in the next days . Till then , thanks to Mr Ryan Wolstatfrom from Sunmedia .

Saturday s games are always difficult . There s plenty to choose , but which ones are the good selections ? The bookmakers are tempting us with a lot of good bets for premiere League , Primera Division … but a really good offer is on the Rugby World Cup games . It s a game between David and Goliath …

All Blacks
Romania - New Zeeland

Romania played pretty poorly against Portugal and now only 3 days later they line up against the All Blacks, not exactly a good rebound match is it? Romanians forwards are their key in this match, if Romania can hold possession for long enough they can cover the real question is can they? I’ll say no they can’t,the Romanians looked tired after their last game and they will be out on their feet by halftime in this one, this match could well be very ugly for the Romanians.

This weekend sees the return of Keith Robinson for the All Blacks and this is one player who could very much frustrate the Romanians ,he is big and aggressive and will rule the ruck area in this match,Robinson is quite possibly the best forward in the NZ game,an uncompromising man who is huge and raring to go,he is prone to injury due to his size but he is really looking forward to this game and that could mean bad news for the Romanians.

NZ have named a somewhat weakened side here but not that weak, the Forwards are all running forwards again with Masoe ,Lauaki , Soialo and Collins and their backs are very quick with Howlett ,Toeava , Maguer,Carter and Evans,in fact Evans and Toeava haven’t played much and those two in particular could cause the Romanians no end of headaches on Saturday.

The fact that Romania has just played a few days ago and the speed in the All Blacks backline spells danger to me,the Romanians will tire and it could be quickly also, the All Blacks backs have so much speed in there I’m really expecting the All Blacks to win by quite a lot here,Romania had been having a great World Cup and finally got their win against Portugal, that was their aim to get a win, with that achieved now the attitude of the Romanians is under question, some of these AB players haven’t got much Rugby and they should cover here quite easy in the end .
