Charlotte - Minnesota

Interesting Monday night in NBA , only 3 games but one good free tip for you .

The Bobcats (5-11) came close to winning their second in a row in what would have been stunning fashion Saturday, falling 89-84 to Boston. Charlotte shot 47.8 percent against a team that’s allowing an NBA-low 40.8 percent shooting on the season and bested the Celtics 36-33 on the boards.

Felton will try to bounce back against Minnesota, as he averaged 14.5 points and 10.5 assists versus the Timberwolves in 2007-08 to help Charlotte win both meetings. He may have an easier time taking care of the ball Monday, as the Timberwolves (4-11) have forced the second-fewest turnovers in the league in 2008-09 with 198.

Jason Richardson chipped in 22 points for Charlotte on Saturday in his second game back after missing seven due to arthroscopic knee surgery. Richardson has been dominant in his last three matchups with the Wolves, averaging 31.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 56.5 percent shooting from 3-point range (13-for-23) in that span.

Richardson scored 36 points in the most recent meeting April 8 to lead the Bobcats to a 121-119 win - Charlotte’s third straight in the series.

Rookie guard D.J. Augustin averaged 19.0 points while starting the last four games of Richardson’s absence. He returned to a reserve role for the last two contests and scored 15.0 points per game.
Minnesota allowed an average of 99.0 points and permitted only three opponents reach 100 points in its first 12 games, but has given up more than 100 in the last three.

The Timberwolves, scoring 102.5 points per game over the last four contests, faces a Charlotte team that’s among the league leaders in scoring defense at 92.4 ppg.

The Bobcats have won three of the four meetings with Minnesota in Charlotte.

Raptors coach fired

Posted on December 3rd, 2008 in News & Reviews by Raz

The good times in Toronto are over . After a great time in T dot , after  winning the Atlantic Division , Sam Mitchell needs to move on .

The Toronto Raptors fired head coach Sam Mitchell on Wednesday.

Mitchell, 45, will be replaced on an interim basis by assistant coach Jay Triano.

Triano, from Niagara Falls, Ont., is best known for coaching the Canadian men’s team from 1998-2004.

He filled in once as Raptors head coach for Mitchell, earning a 105-82 over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves.

Mitchell posted a 156-189 record with Toronto, but the Raptors sit an unremarkable 8-9 this season.

Tuesday’s embarrassing 132-93 loss at Denver was the fifth-worst setback in franchise history — and, ultimately, Mitchell’s undoing.

“This is a difficult but necessary step the franchise must take,” Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo said in a statement. “We appreciate all that Sam has done for the organization, applaud him for his successes and wish him nothing but the best with his future in basketball.”

Mitchell was chosen the NBA’s coach of the year in 2007 as the Raptors posted a 47-35 record and clinched their first Atlantic Division title and their first playoff berth in five seasons.

Colangelo promptly re-signed him to a four-year, $12-million US contract on May 22, 2007.

Prior to that, Mitchell was the lowest paid head coach in the league at $2 million US per season.

Toronto’s 47 wins that season equalled the franchise record and represented a 20-win improvement over the previous season, when it managed a 27-55 mark under Mitchell.

He replaced Kevin O’Neill as Raptors head coach on June 29, 2004.

Mitchell spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks prior to joining Toronto.

He also was hired to be Bernie Bickerstaff’s lead assistant with the Charlotte Bobcats, who granted him permission to talk to the Raptors.

Portland - Toronto

Posted on December 27th, 2008 in Sportsbetting free tips by Raz

The holiday season kept us away for a bit from the NBA scene , but we re back now with a new tip before the New Year.  Today’s game will be played in Portland .
The Raptors are facing Blazers back to back and they re coming after two wins , showing that it s not over yet for them.
Toronto’s Jermaine O’Neal scored 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked six shots in the loss to the Blazers earlier this month, and is coming off his best game of the season.

In Friday’s 107-101 victory over Sacramento, O’Neal scored 36 points — his highest scoring game since getting 39 for Indiana against Chicago on March 25, 2007.

After missing 40 games last season because of lingering pain from a torn ligament in his left knee, O’Neal had gotten off to a slow start in his Toronto career, but he is once again looking like a five-time All-Star.

O’Neal, who was traded from the Pacers in the offseason, has scored at least 23 points in each of his last three games after topping the 20-point mark just twice in his first 23 games with the Raptors.

Toronto has just one win in its last six trips to Portland, but is starting to improve on the road.

The Raptors have won back-to-back games on a six-game road trip after winning just two of their previous 12 games overall, and are looking to win three straight games for the first time since starting the season 3-0.

Raptors are always start their games in full speed , but unfortunately for them , the Finnish is slow. So , we ll get some value odds for this game .

Today s tip is Raptors +5 on 1st Half @ 1.87 only at Pinnacle
