Denver at Miami

Dwayne Wade The Nuggets, who haven’t started 6-0 since 1985-86, play a winning team for the first time Friday in the third game of their trip. They also face the league scoring leader from last season, Dwayne Wade.
The Nuggets are 5-0 this season while the Heat are 4-1, where both teams are having great success due to the excellent defense they have been playing.  Denver is allowing 93.7 points/game on the road this year where they are 3-0 away from home and the UNDER is 2-1.  Miami is holding their opponents to just 91.2 points/game this season and the UNDER is 4-1 in their 5 contests.
The Heat are 26-12 UNDER in a home game where where the total is between 200 and 204.5 points since 1996.  Miami is 18-4 UNDER after 4 straight games forcing opponent to commit 14 or less turnovers over the last 3 seasons.  The UNDER is 6-1 in Nuggets last 7 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.
The UNDER is 20-6 in Nuggets last 26 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.  The UNDER is 12-2 in Heat last 14 games following a S.U. win.  The UNDER is 7-0 in Heat last 7 games following a ATS win.

Toronto at New Orleans

Posted on November 6th, 2009 in Sportsbetting free tips by Raz

Chris Paul has been disappointed with the Hornets hesitant start of the season. Even after winning a difficult game last time out, he knows the team still has plenty of work to do.

Paul and the Hornets look for further improvements on the defensive end tonight when they host the Toronto Raptors.
The New Orleans Hornets hope to build on a thrilling overtime win when they welcome the Toronto Raptors to the Big Easy on Friday.
Chris Paul Chris Paul poured in a game-high 39 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds on Wednesday, as the Hornets took down the Dallas Mavericks, 114-107, in OT at New Orleans Arena.

David West added 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets, who snapped a brief two-game skid. Bobby Brown ended with 18 points off the bench, and Emeka Okafor finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds for the victors.

“We wanted this one, especially at home. We wanted to make sure we gave it all we could. We were able to wear them down in the fourth quarter and get some bounces to go our way,” West said after the win.

The Hornets will be dealing with a serious off-court issue, however. Team owner George Shinn announced Friday that he has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

In a release, Shinn said despite the diagnosis, he remains healthy, optimistic and committed to maintain his regular schedule.

“My wife, Denise, and I remain strong in our faith and will maintain a positive attitude as I battle this with intense fervor and drive,” Shinn said. “This is not the first obstacle that I have had to overcome in life, but it will be another one that will be conquered. Those closest to me understand my commitment to God and belief in the power of prayer, so all that I ask is for people to add me to their prayers.

“I’m proud of the fact that I will be joining the ranks of cancer survivors around the world who exemplify the greatest strength and resilience. I am consulting with the finest doctors and they are also optimistic that this will be another example of overcoming the struggles that life can throw your way.”

Shinn has been the owner of the Hornets since their inaugural season of 1988-89, when they were located in Charlotte. He then moved the franchise to New Orleans, beginning with the 2002-03 season.

Toronto, meanwhile, is coming off its own impressive performance on Wednesday as Chris Bosh scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Raptors earned a 110-99 win over the Detroit Pistons at Air Canada Centre.

Andrea Bargnani turned in a solid performance with 22 points and a game-best 12 boards for the Raptors, who recovered after dropping a 125-116 decision to Orlando on Monday. Toronto has split its first four games of the young season. Hedo Turkoglu added 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

The Raptors, who will be playing seven of their next eight games away from home, have lost three straight to the Hornets.

I see Raptors playing with great pace first half of the game and Hornets catching up in the end . A close one , so the NBA free tip for Toronto at New Orleans is :

Golden State at Sacramento

Posted on November 8th, 2009 in Sportsbetting free tips by Raz

Sacramento’s chances of having a good season seemed to take a major hit Friday, when Kevin Martin decided to undergo surgery on his injured wrist. Martin had gotten off to a fast start, averaging a team-best 30.6 points, and was expected to be one of the floor leaders on a young Kings team, which was an NBA-worst 17-65 last season.

Tyreke Evans But the rookie Tyreke Evans appears to be the man who can save the Kings. Evans’ performance in Saturday’s 104-99 victory at Utah, the team’s first game without Martin, gives Sacramento (2-4) reason to believe it can still find success without its star shooting guard. He had a career highs of 32 points and seven assists.

Golden State is 1-3, they are without Brandan Wright and Ronny Turiaf, and Andris Biedrins is nursing a sore back. Yet, they are favored on the road. This presents a live home dog opportunity and I like it. Yes, Sacramento’s defense has been bad, but not as bad as Golden State’s. While the Kings have allowed 106.7 per game, Golden State has allowed 113.5 per game. The offenses are similar. Dating back to last season, the Warriors are 10-21 ATS on the road in a game with a total over 210. They are also just 30-48 ATS as a favorite the past three seasons. I like the home dog here in a game they can win outright.

Tonight’s free NBA tip is:

Play Kings +3 only at Pinnacle  with the best NBA odds 1,91.

Iverson retiring ?

Posted on November 10th, 2009 in News & Reviews by Raz

No doubt that Allen Iverson is a special character in NBA. He was always been loved and hated by the fans. But, as most of the stars we tend to remember his good moments.

Allen Iverson After the great times in Philly, Iverson went to Denver and won 50 games averaged 26.4 ppg, 7.1 apg on 46 percent shooting, and people still said he needed to score less. Despite being one of the best players in the league, the Denver Nuggets shipped him away and Chauncey Billups helped them get three more wins in an easier Western Conference, which lead to higher seeding.

Iverson went to Detroit and sacrificed by taking 14 shots per game, rarely touching the ball, playing 27 minutes a game and then being called washed-up. The Pistons lied to him and put him on the bench. Then they sent him home and he was being blacklisted.

Allen went to Memphis thinking he could prove people wrong and get signed by a contender next year. But he did not know that even the Grizzlies, the only team that believed in him, were also against him and thought it was okay to bring Iverson off the bench.

One game, he played 27 minutes for the Grizzlies, scored 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting and had seven assists. He did more than OJ Mayo and Michael Conley in fewer minutes. But he still remained on the bench. Iverson appeared in three games since returning from a hamstring injury and played off the bench each time.

Iverson left the team Saturday after receiving permission from Griz owner Michael Heisley to deal with a personal matter. The stress associated with a family issue plus Iverson’s frustration over playing a reserve role might spell the end of his 14-year NBA career, according to the source.

Heisley said he’s not been given any indication that Iverson might be leaning towards retirement, and still is holding out hope that the 10-time All-Star will return to Memphis. Hard to believe he is saying the truth …

A source close to Iverson confirmed the 34-year-old is indeed attending to a personal issue, and his discomfort with the Grizzlies also factored into the abrupt separation. Also, other sources are saying that he might be sick, having a serious affection.

As fans, we can only hope to see Iverson back in NBA and not a retired Iverson. As fans, we need the Answer.

New Jersey Nets to win ?

Posted on November 11th, 2009 in Sportsbetting free tips by Raz

Losers of two straight, the 76ers look to improve on their last performance against the winless Nets as the Atlantic Division rivals meet Wednesday night. Philadelphia hasn’t won since a 97-94 victory over New Jersey (0-7) on Friday night. The Nets have been outscored by an average of 11.9 points, but the 76ers needed a clutch effort from Andre Iguodala down the stretch.

The Nets aren’t going to go winless for the season and getting a bundle of points vs a team below .500 on the season is reflective of that. The Sixers aren’t exactly an emerging powerhouse and remember their sole road win on the season went into OT against the Knicks. This team won 17 on the road all of last year, three of those took OT and eight others were by six or less. That leaves six wins in the last year on the road that would have beaten this number, which is way too high.

Guard Courtney Lee sat out with a strained left groin, but he could return to face Philadelphia. Lee, in his second season, is averaging 11.8 points. Nets get the call. Our free NBA tip for the night is :

Play Nets +6 only at Pinnacle best odds @1,80

WSOP 2009 winner

Posted on November 11th, 2009 in Poker by Raz

Joe Cada outlasted 6,493 other entrants to take down the 2009 World Series of Poker championship early Tuesday morning.
With his victory, Cada becomes the youngest player to ever win the World Series of Poker main event breaking the record of Peter Eastgate.

Despite entering heads-up play with a large chip deficit, Darvin Moon battled valiantly, actually taking over the chip lead for a short period of time before eventually giving it back for good.

The final hand of the tournament went down like this:

Cada had the button (and the chip lead) and raised to 3 million pre-flop.
Moon re-raised up to eight million, which led Cada to push all-in.
After a bit of deliberation, Moon made the call. The two players showed:
Moon - Qd Jd
Cada - 9c 9d
The board ran out:

8c-2c-7s-Kh-7c

Cada, with his pair of nines, had taken down poker’s biggest prize after a long and drawn-out battle.
Moon, who had battled very hard, ended up walking away with a second place finish.

For his victory, Joe Cada received $8,547,042, as well as the coveted World Series of Poker bracelet. Moon ended up taking home $5,182,928 for his second place finish.

The final table ended up taking a grueling 364 hands to complete, which translated into approximately 24 hours of play.

With that, the 2009 World Series of Poker has finally come to an end, despite beginning over five months ago.

Here is how the final table finished out:

1. Joe Cada, $8,547,042
2. Darvin Moon, $5,182,928
3. Antoine Saout, $3,479,670
4. Eric Buchman, $2,502,890
5. Jeff Shulman, $1,953,452
6. Steven Begleiter, $1,587,160
7. Phil Ivey, $1,404,014
8. Kevin Schaffel, $1,300,231
9. James Akenhead, $1,263,602

Cada has no one else to beat. With a tear in the corner of his eye and his lips pursed to hold back obvious emotion, Cada lifted his new bracelet above his head and accepted his role of ambassador to the poker world.
Congratulations to Joe Cada on the victory !

Portland at Charlotte

Posted on November 14th, 2009 in Sportsbetting free tips by Raz

Charlotte  Interesting match up tonight between two teams in different conditions. Monitoring tonight’s games in NBA, we think there’s a good opportunity for a winning pick on this one .

Charlotte (3-5) lost 98-75 loss at Detroit on Friday for its third straight loss after winning three of its first five. Nazr Mohammed led the team with 13 points in 15 minutes off the bench in the latest woeful offensive performance for the Bobcats, who are last in the league with 83.5 points per game.
Gerald Wallace added 12 for Charlotte, which shot 4 for 15 from 3-point range and was outscored 29-12 in the third quarter.

Portland (7-3) won 86-78 at New Orleans on Friday to improve to 3-0 on a five-game road trip that concludes Monday at Atlanta. The Trail Blazers have won five in a row since losing three of five to open the season. Portland, averaging 99.6 points and giving up only 83.6 during its five-game winning streak, won Friday despite shooting 37.9 percent. The Blazers outrebounded the Hornets 60-40 and finished with a 22-3 advantage in second-chance points.

A few trends to consider:
Portland is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
Portland is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games on the road
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Portland’s last 7 games when playing Charlotte
Charlotte is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games at home
Charlotte is 18-7 ATS in its last 25 games at home
Charlotte is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Charlotte’s last 7 games when playing Portland
I’m pretty sure that Charlotte will bounce back tonight and we’ll see a close game . The teams will score better than the previous games after such a low percentages.

Jackson to Charlotte

Posted on November 16th, 2009 in News & Reviews by Raz

Stephen Jackson  Stephen Jackson was traded to  Charlotte Bobcats in a deal that everyone knew it’s gonna happen. He’s averaging 16.6 points in nine games this season, after averaging 20.7 points and 6.5 assists last season.
The Bobcats sent shooting guard Raja Bell and forward Vladimir Radmanovic to the Warriors for Jackson and guard Acie Law.
Charlotte takes on Jackson’s contract, which has three years and $28 million left after this season. Golden State inherits Radmanovic’s deal, worth about $13.5 million over this season and next. Bell and Law are in the final year of their contracts.
With the worst offense in the league and failing to reach 80 points in five of its nine games so far, the Bobcats are averaging an NBA-low 82.4 points per game . Charlotte has been exchanging proposals with Golden State for some time. But the Bobcats were determined to make the deal without parting with playmaking big man Boris Diaw.

“He’s happy about the trade, delighted about the trade,” Jackson’s agent, Mark Stevens, told Sheridan. “This is what he wanted, a new start, and this gives him a chance to compete. Plus, he’s a huge fan of that team’s president, Michael Jordan.” Stevens also said Jackson was expected to be in uniform for the Bobcats on Monday night against Orlando.

Well, we heard this before - let’s for how long Jackson will stay in Charlotte, given that one of his motivations for asking out was the chance to play for a contender. .

Dallas at Milwaukee

Posted on November 16th, 2009 in Sportsbetting free tips by Raz

Who can imagine that Milwaukee will win 4 games in a row without Michael Redd ? I’m pretty sure not too many people. But, amazing happens in NBA.

B Jennings  Brandon Jennings, the 20-year-old point guard scored 55 points and shot 21 of 34 in 40 minutes of a 129-125 win over Golden State on Saturday night, in his seventh NBA game. Jennings, averaging 25.6 points on the season, has scored a combined 87 in his last two games while shooting 32 of 53 from the floor. Thanks largely to their rookie’s heroics, the Bucks are 4-1 in the games Redd has missed.
Off to its best start since winning five of the first seven during its last playoff season of 2005-06, Milwaukee now tries for a third consecutive home win over Dallas (7-3). Last season, in January, the Bucks won against the Mavs with an amazing performance 133 to 99 .

Dallas is coming to the end of a road trip. They won last night in Detroit by 5 points. Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points and Drew Gooden added 11 with 11 rebounds in place of starting center Erick Dampier, who was scratched due to illness. The Mavericks shot 43.9 percent, but outscored the Pistons 46-36 in the paint.
Nowitzki is averaging 25.7 points on the season and 27.1 in his last 14 games against the Bucks. He had 30 in Dallas’s 133-99 loss at Milwaukee on Jan. 21, but 14 in a 116-96 home win over the Bucks on Feb. 25.

Overall, I see the Mavs a bit tired and Nowitzki playing at his best in the last quarter but I see a Bucks team driven very well by the rookie Jennings and it’s hard to believe that right now something can stay in their way.

So tonight’s NBA free tip from Dallas to Milwaukee is :

Play Milwaukee Bucks -1.5 @1,91 only at Pinnacle
