Dallas winning streak – new NBA pick
Free NBA tip : Can the Mavs win again as a NBA favorite this time ?
It’s been such a disappointment so far for the Dallas Mavericks, but there are a few signals that things might turn around.
One of the main reasons for this turnaround is Dirk Nowitzki. After missing for months following his knee surgery, Dirk was introduced gradually back in the team, coming from the bench and the former league MVP has averaged 18.0 points over his last six games, scoring 17 on 5-of-8 shooting against Memphis.
Shawn Marion led six players in double figures with 20 points for Dallas, which outscored the Grizzlies 21-10 in transition and held them to 38.1 percent shooting.
A hot topic in Dallas these days is if the team needs some trades as Dirk mentioned during one interview last week. On the same note the one only Mavericks owner Mark Cuban mentioned the following …
“I would say there’s a one hundred percent chance we’ll do something,” Cuban told Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News. “There’s nobody in particular we’re looking to get off or anything. But we put ourselves in position where I’m willing to take back money. If it’s the right deal, I’ll take back everything. I don’t care. It just depends. But like I said, there’s a one hundred percent chance we’re going to look to do something.”
THis is a good news for the team and will create a bit of momentum going passing on the 2nd part of the season .
Dallas is 13-3 ATS off a win against a division rival over the last 3 seasons. The Mavericks are 24-8 ATS after successfully covering the spread in 3 or more consecutive games over the last 3 seasons. The Timberwolves are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. Western Conference.
On the other side , Minesota seems to be a terrible NBA underdog. They dropped nine of 13 since beating the Mavericks last month, including seven of eight on the road. The Timberwolves have been outscored by an average of 17.3 points on the first three stops of their current trek, most recently falling 106-88 to the SPurs yesterday. Point guard Ricky Rubio missed all six shots against San Antonio and is shooting just 18.2 percent (6 of 33) in nine games. Rubio missed the beginning of the season after knee surgery and later missed time due to back spasms.
