Portland hosting the Clippers
Saturday Night NBA underdog in Portland
Busy Saturday Night in the NBA , Lots of games, and the NBA underdog of the night is well hidden.
My dog of the night is Portland . At home, good crowd, playing very well, POR has a good shot vs the lousy Clippers. Watching the Clips without Paul , is like watching Was. on a funny Note, , hard to understand L Odom’s place in this team , he missed easy Lay ups from underneath the basket vs the Suns and not sure how he will recover his long break …
Not very organized, lack of direction and frustration.
Los Angeles lost the two games Paul has missed as part of a three-game skid. Portland beat Indiana on Wednesday to halt a six-game slide. The two teams meet again Sunday in Los Angeles. Los Angeles has failed to reach 100 points in each of its last five outings. Blake Griffin had just 12 points in Thursday’s 93-88 loss to the Phoenix Suns. He tweaked a troublesome ankle in the contest but is expected to be fine against the Trail Blazers, even though he had some problems with that in the past.
On the other side LaMarcus Aldridge is headed to the All-Star Game for the second straight time. Aldridge and LeBron James are the only players averaging more than 20 points and eight rebounds. Aldridge’s marks are 20.7 and 8.8 so far in the season.
A few important NBA trends to consider
Clippers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
LA Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.
Portland is 13-5 SU in its last 18 games at home
Six of the last nine meetings between the teams have been decided by 10 or fewer points.
Trail Blazers are 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
I always like Port as a home underdog and over 50% of the games they covered, let’s see if the trend will continue tonight.
